DID YOU KNOW? … These days Makasi Imports is well known for supplying the UK’s largest range of driftwood-style teak root home and garden furniture, giftware and home accessories - but did you know how it all started? Makasi’s Managing Director, Dan Unsworth, started in the import industry over 30 years ago, travelling out to Indonesia to buy and sell stock for a garden furniture company. He founded Makasi Imports Ltd in 2014 mainly as a furniture wholesaler, with one warehouse on a farm in Surrey and a small storage facility in Indonesia. Makasi has grown steadily over the years and we now have several units on the same Surrey farm and five times our original storage capacity in Indonesia, with a team of over 40 people.
